Practicing civil and structural engineers for the past over three-and-a-half decades. Possesses diverse and rich experience in the profession and has handled industrial, power, agricultural, commercial, recreational, institutional, health, pharmaceutical, educational, and other projects, both within and outside Pakistan. His office has provided services to some of the most renowned companies in the world. Special interests include reinforced concrete design, earthquake-resistant design, rehabilitation of damaged structures, software development, forensic engineering, water-sports physics, construction-contract law, and sustainability. Designed projects are located in diverse geotechnical conditions and in diverse seismic zones. He has, to his credit, design of mutlistoreyed buildings; large-span strructures; soil retention and shoring systems, including cantilever retaining walls and retaining walls with soil anchors; various types of foundations includings soild and cellular mats, pile foundtions, spread foundations and machine foundations; lrage size reinforced concrete silos for grain storage; reinforced concrete shell structures; overhead travelling cranes and runway structures; plantcast and prestressed concrete structures including beams, utility poles and large-span double-tee planks; steel structures including trusses, plate girders, electrical transmission line towers, substation gantry structures; ground and elevated sanitary structures, incuding water reservoirs, swimming pools and tanks for water treatment plants; development of geometry of various types of slides for water sports; flexible and rigid pavements; strengthening of damaged structures includng fire-damaged structures; establishing causes of failure of various structures; strengthening of existing structures for enhanced loading; participation in code-making bodies; structural design review of a large number of structures including those designed by some of the well-known and internationally known designers; appaering as technical expert in legal and quasi-legal proceedings related to civil engineering, including large international projects; technical specification writing; development of construction-contract documents; development of quality-control standards for production of construction documents. He has extensively lectured on various topics of his interest at leading colleges, universities, training institutes, and forms of professional associations. Also, during his practice, he has supervised and trained scores of civil engineers who are now practicing the profession around the world. Still active in the profession, he runs his own civil and structural engineering practice and passionately imparts training to his young colleagues.  Lives with his wife and two sons.
